Cultivate Work Ethics and Inspire Young Minds

On the auspicious occasion of the birth anniversary of Dr. Sarvapalli Radhakrishnan and Teachers' Day Celebration, St Vincent Pallotti College, organised Teachers' Day Celebration on September 4, 2021 at 11:00 am.

The programme began with an invocation song by the college choir, Followed by a welcome address by Merle Hillchrist. The dignitaries lighted the lamp as a symbol of Enlightenment of Knowledge and Wisdom. Rev. Fr. Gilbert Mascarenhas, Director, St Vincent Pallotti College spoke the words of blessing. Dr. E. Jerome Xavier, the Principal, introduced the Chief Guest Dr. K Eresi, the former Professor and Chairman of Commerce and Management, Bangalore University, an Eminent Teacher and Dynamic Scholar. The esteemed members of the management were honoured to felicitate the Chief Guest.

Dr. K Eresi in his address to the teachers and students spoke on the importance and role of education, teachers and students, and the institution in Nation Building. He reiterated that the teachers need to cultivate a work ethic and inspire young minds to be great citizens of India. He also said that the development of a nation begins in the classroom, where both the teachers and students, play a key role.

The students felicitated the teachers by their cultural performances. It was a moment that will be cherished forever. The programme concluded with a vote of thanks.

IQAC and Research Cell of SVPC organized National Level Virtual Conference on 'Inclusiveness and Diversity in Higher Education in the Light of NEP 2020'. Dr. B. S. Ponmudiraj (Adviser, Director Secretariat, NAAC) set the tone right for the conference by his inaugural address.
